On Saturday February 11, 2023 The Klingon Assault Group once again successfully invaded Statesville Civic Center in Statesville, NC to conquer the Statesville Comic Con, hosted by KAG friendly organizers,Tim and Sherry McDowell Deel. As usual, the Deels gave KAG a huge area to set up in and it was much appreciated. Here is the main side of the display where attendees did their most interaction with the KAG members.
Attending from the IKV Executioner out of Hickory, NC were IXL Brigadier Keela zantai-Septaric, Cmdr. Martok vestai-lungQIj, 1st Lt. S’Risha tai and her targ, the Raging Marshmallow (Wallaby). Attending from the KPV Krimson Fury out of Kannapolis, NC were Lt. Cmdr. Dronoss vestai-Hov che’ and Lt. Cmdr. Krikala vestai-Hov che’. Attending from the IKS Oblivion out of Boomer, NC was IXL Lt. Way’nar tai-Barr’ak.
Along with recruitment of Klingon and IXL Warriors for KAG, funds were raised for the Kwanzaa Family Inn women’s shelter to get a new roof. Many huMans visited the KAG display area which was set up on either side of the hall leading to the costume contest portal.
Early that day we were videotaped by Todd B Lacey which he later posted on his Youtube channel, Todd Venture, and during which he praised KAG somewhere in the first several minutes of his vlog for always having a great set up. This is not the first time in his vlogs he has mentioned us with glowing words. Thanks, Todd!
A great time was had by all participants and ____ was raised towards Kwanzaa Family Inn’s roof fund.
After the successful convention invasion, the Warriors trooped to the Shang Hai Buffet for a well earned feast! Qapla’!
