Invasion of Libertycon

AER: We attended Libertycon this weekend in Chatanooga, TN representing the IKV Taj HeH. This is a Fantasy and Sci-Fi literature convention in its 35th year. We chose to dress in TOS Klingon. I have rarely been to a convention where we were better received. We could barely walk five steps without being stopped by old timers that were huge fans of the original Star Trek that appreciated our representation and knew which episode our Klingons first appeared on. I was told by one of the organizers that the last time they remember having anyone from KAG there in uniform was about ten years ago. This is a convention that not only appreciated a Klingon presence, but would love it if more of us came out next year. The downside is they limit ticket sales to 1000 tickets so it is not something you can choose to do last minute. It sells out pretty fast. We were recruited for their costume masquerade and won an award for best re-creation. We will likely do this one again.
