On Sunday, April 2, 2023, Dave Hinson and Rick Fortenberry once again put on a hugely successful Charlotte Comicon at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Concord, NC. KAG has an open invitation to attend this convention every time they have it. All we have to do is let them know we are coming.
Attending from the IKV Executioner out of Hickory, NC were IXL Brigadier Keela zantai-Septaric, Cmdr. Martok vestai-lungQIj, 1st Lt. S’Risha tai and her targ, the Raging Marshmallow (Wallaby). Attending from the KPV Krimson Fury out of Charlotte, NC were Lt. Cmdr. Dronoss vestai-Hov che’ and Lt. Cmdr. Krikala vestai-Hov che’.
Once again, we set up our display in the hall just outside of the Dealer’s room using convention tables and our own. While the rest of the KAG party took turns manning the table, S’Risha and the Raging Marshmallow patrolled the Dealer’s room in search of donations and prospective members. Krikala arrived late to the event attired in one of her Dabo girl outfits.
A good time was had by all in attendance and $400 was raised for Kwanzaa Family Inn’s roof project which has since started!

Kwanzaa Family Inn is so grateful for the support that the Klingon Assault Group has given for fixing the roof and others over the years for various projects. The roof project NEED is ongoing and needs continuous funding to complete it. KAG is honored to serve.

A Good Day To Dine
After the convention a well deserved Good Day to Dine feast was had at the Flaming Buffet (oriental food) in Concord, NC. Those who ate enjoyed it very much! Qapla’!
