AER: IKV batlh qa’ touches down at MarsCon!

Greetings, fellow warriors!

Ship captain, maroQ, reporting in! The shuttle veQDuj left the batlh qa’ shuttlebay at 7:00 am and entered earth’s atmosphere on a grey cloudy Friday March 1st headed to a place called Minneapolis, Minnesota a place that is very similar to Rura Pente. The six hour journey found the shuttle buffeted by winds and snow upon approach, not the trip I had hoped for.  After landing at the designated site, thanks to Thought Admiral Qob’s homing beacon, I entered the spaceport there to be greeted by none other The Thought Admiral himself! He saw how irritated I was at the rough landing and joked in a very human fashion about how I looked like I needed a hug! I was pleased to see many other warriors I recognized from throughout KAG and was very grateful as they helped me unload the many cargo modules I had aboard the veQDuj.

Once everything was moved to my temporary quarters, I was ready I set out in armor and ridges to join the rest of our warriors in various activities that evening, including Marscon opening ceremonies and many panels from 7 to 11 pm. Most notable was The KAG General Assembly where many warriors from ships among the Cold Terror fleet were present. It was quite a sight to see so many warriors assembled to hear the Thought Admiral speak that evening as he announced his retirement and that Admiral qurgh would succeed him. Many holo images were also taken at this event and our ship was awarded the KAG 30th anniversary banner to display at our next events. I also participated in panels about Klingon Christmas Carol and Klingon Props panel that night.

On Saturday March 2nd, the cold crept into the area and made it feel even more like Rura Pente. General Martok (JG Hertzler) was present and I was able to interact with many members of KAG and my own Cold Terror fleet throughout the day. I spent time with the fleets newest ship, the IKV Black Wolf, and they even recruited two more members! Well done! It was an honor to meet the captain of the IKV Rakehell, which celebrated 25 years of glorious service. I took part in the KAG podcast thanks to Jorn, who came up from a warmer part of this planet called Florida. I was also very pleased to see a large contingent from the IKV Fury in from St. Louis and the newly promoted Lt. Commander Roteg from Iowa.  Later that day many of us fought a glorious battle with a dishonorable Dalek whom I later I let loose a group of jawas on and had it surrounded. Somehow I was lucky enough to sic them on Qob as revenge for my recent promotion to brigadier! Thanks, Thought Admiral Qob!

Saturday went on until late into the night with many great conversations with many warriors throughout KAG.

The final day of the con was Sunday March 3rd and many warriors were set to depart throughout the day. By afternoon, things had thinned out to Roteg, myself and several others as the convention wound down and more cold weather set in.  It had been a successful 30th anniversary gathering of many great Klingon Warriors from throughout KAG. I myself did not depart this freezing cold place to return to the batlh qa’ until the next morning for the long boring 6 hour trip back to the ship. I raise a mug of bloodwine in slaute to all that made the journey to be a part of our 30 anniversary event. Each warrior present added something that made this event a success and fun!!!
