This is the story of how the Day of Honor became a major celebration in the Klingon Empire. In this story within a story, an aging Klingon farmer recounts the events involving the second meeting of Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise and Kor. Instead of fighting, the two adversaries must set their differences aside and cooperate to defeat an enemy, In the meantime, the Klingon farmer, Kerdoch learns that even enemies can have honor.
