This past Fall we had the United Fan Con
convention in
Springfield, MA. The IKV Astris and the IKV Shadow's Edge were well
represented at the convention. Josh Pritchett (L'oS) of
Charlottesville, VA, a correspondence member of the IKV Astris, won
Best Klingon Costume during the costume contest!
Earlier in 2007, L'oS donated blood at a convention in
Maryland.
I recently attended the Arisia convention, during which they
had a Star Trek trivia contest, in which the winners came home with
various door prizes. I came away with a real good prize package of
several Star Trek novels and a Christmas ornament of the USS Defiant.
The CO of the IKV Peerless is now the president of the
Imagination Island Theatre in Belfast, Maine, which is a puppetry
theatre that encourages the creative talents of the youth in the area.
