Quartermaster Corps
After much discussion (and various people getting annoyed with me
because I wasn't able to upload pages in a timely manner), it was
decided to move the QM site to a Wiki format. We've barely scratched
the surface of the data we're going to be uploading, and I hadn't been
able
to keep up, that didn't bode well for the future. Hence.
The conversion is (mostly) done, the wiki is up and functional.
There are only a couple of pages I haven't transferred over yet, and
those
will take some serious reformatting before I even attempt it.
Most
of the other pages will also need some cleaning up, I moved
everything over
quickly in the interest of speed and not all of it came over
'clean'. The cleanup process is my project for this upcoming
week.
But, beyond
that, we're off and running.
No more waiting for a single webmaster to get all the pages up, now the
Quartermasters (and/or whomever garaghQ selects to have TeH PowaH) will
be able to upload their data directly. I'll basically sit back, keep
things pretty and organized, and make sure that nobody tries breaking
into it all and screwing it up (I caught and deleted two Viagra
advertisers already, before I instituted page-protection, bah!).
The wiki will never be as 'pretty' as the old site was, but it's a far
shot more functional for the massive amounts of data that we are going
to be handling.
