Thought Admiral insignia

Greetings, Salutations, Felicitations and all that rot,

How to begin...or how to end...a MUCH more appropriate question...

I became Thought-Admiral in a haze of fury, at a time when everything about the club was in an uproar. It was a wild time--KAG was reforging  itself and I was chosen to be the anvil..or the fire, depending on your choice of metaphor.

I was the weird one, the freak from the Demon Fleet, the guy who pants'd the admirals. Always ready with the sarcasm--and the stunts to go with it. Always chafing at the bit....

Sometimes I think I was made TA as a put-up-or shut-up move. 'Okay loudmouth, you think it's easy...' Sometimes I think I was the Epetai's cruel joke....

But most of the time I think it was just time for the lunatics to run the asylum.

I always took it that my task was to keep the club together--to thwart the factions that thought they could just carve little sections of yes-men off the club and still call themselves KAG.

Looking at KAG today I see that we're still here--even after the RoFF took their toys and vanished. KAG still spans the country--and the globe. The Stormrider Fleet kept the west alive--and the Crimson Knight Fleet brought our northern warriors back into the fold. The Sundragon Fleet keeps Australia swinging. And the Marines? Cold Terror? Dark Moon? The Demon Fleet? Loud and Proud.

But there was more. Things I said in Demonic Press. Things about freedom and choices and the dreaded and revered Rule 13. I tried to made KAG a freer place, a place where the members knew that, by joining, a whole panoply of things had just opened for them. And, thanks to Rule 13, that accepting that panoply meant extending it to ones fellow members How'd I do? Well that's for you to decide.

By now you've realized that this is adieu.

Yes, friends, the KuurIIs has left the building. I am officially resigning as Thought-Admiral.

But...in my stead, and Kris's stead, I give you a warrior who will take this club to new heights, someone known to many of KAGs members already as a warrior who's always there to help. A man who leads by example.

I give you, Thought-Admiral Khatal epetai-H'aaWK.

He will serve you well.

I leave you now, to hoist the black flag once more, my ship awaits and the fires are lit.. I leave you as I came, I am Thought-Admiral no more.
