Villicon 1/21-23/2022 After Event Report
Members of the IKV Kurist and the IKV Shadowbat set up a Klingon recruitment center at Villicon, a villain themed convention in Orlando the weekend of Jan. 21-23rd. Showing up early allowed the installment of a Klingon Command chair as the events centerpiece. It was flanked on either side with weapons displays, available attire, and various props. Coloring pages were available for the children attending, as well as KAG literature and KAG key rings.
The show ran Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. Many guests took advantage of the chair for photo opportunities, including at one point Garrett Wang came over for several photos using various of the props we had available. We dispensed all of the available KAG cards, most of the available flyers and over half of the, couple of hundred, key rings.
It was surprising how fast we were able to tear the area down and remove the, very heavy, chair from the room. But as they as many hands make light work and in less than an hour we returned the recruitment center to the same condition we found it in when we arrived.
