The theme of the issue is “Recruiting”, and if you’ve gone this far
through MINDSCANNER....well, good for you!
Here’s a few questions for YOU:
Why should anybody be a Klingon?
Why should anybody join KAG?
Is your ship fun? Does your ship have regular meetings?
Does your ship DO anything? Go anywhere?
Klingons have been around for 30 years, and KAG for over 20. The
novelty? Gone. Sorry, Klingon, but it's true. You're going to have
to find a new swimming hole for new people. Keep in mind that real
STAR TREK fans know we’re around; they just might not know how to find
us. KAG.org
Maybe they’ll see you at a convention, where it can be tough to talk.
Are they going to fit in, and be an asset to your ship? OR, will they
turn out to be a clunker with a headpiece that looks like a turd...
That’s where monthly meetings come in. OR, gathering at an event.
You’re more likely to find that “new guy” at a Smaller convention, the
type of place where KAG got started, and continually makes a glorious
“splash”. Big NASTY fish in the smaller pond.
Look your best. BE your best. Make yourselves memorable to the
crowds-- and to the media. (Do the TV or newspaper interview, and
mention KAG.ORG-- that way you can reach a wider audience.)
Now, get out there and bring into KAG that “new guy”. I’ve done it;
you can too!
