I've been a Klingon
for thirty years--KAG was formed twenty years
ago because I felt that if one was going to ACT like a Klingon,
one should LOOK like a Klingon.
And look at you! You are MAGNIFICENT! When I started KAG, there were three lines of dialog from an original series episode, "Day of the Dove", written by Jerome Bixby, that resonated with me. One: WE ARE HUNTERS, TRACKING AND TAKING WHAT WE NEED. Two: WE HAVE ALWAYS FOUGHT. WE MUST. Three: THERE ARE POOR PLANETS IN THE KLINGON SYSTEM. WE MUST PUSH OUTWARD IF WE ARE TO SURVIVE. So...."We Are Hunters." Who is our prey? [The assembled Klingons at Marcon answered, STARFLEET!!!] Yes. Starfleet. The herd creatures. Dues and elections and... bake sales. "We have always fought. We must." We of KAG are at our very best when we compete against the Fed-based clubs. Our DARK JUSTICE WAR--we won over 90% of our battles with Starfleet. That was 1995. They started it-- WE FINISHED IT. Real competitions, real victories truly worthy of Battle Notches and Kill Stripes. "We must push outward if we are to survive." So, how do we push outward? By being VISIBLE. By being KLINGON! By RECRUITING. I challenge each of you to recruit ONE NEW MEMBER! Just one. Then give that new recruit the task of doing the same. Imagine what we could do with such expansion. SO!! A challenge: HUNT! FIGHT! PUSH OUTWARD--ALWAYS PUSH OUTWARD! We can DO this. We MUST do this!! |
