From the Quartermistress

The beginning of the year seems to invite a State of the Union, or Uniform, in my case, address of some sort, but I'll try to make it brief.

Over the years, KAG's Quartermaster files have grown into a huge unwieldy encyclopedia with 7-8 volumes and countless reams of badly collated information. Fortunately, I've had time now to read them, and I possess a scanner. After months of hair pulling and lots of swearing--I am NOT, by any stretch of the imagination, good with computers--much of the Quartermaster files exist in the digital format so it can be emailed or faxed with ease. It can also be printed out and mailed (though you must cover those costs) and on top of all of that, you can call me if you wish.

For some idea of what the Quartermaster files contain, there are photos, templates, spec sheets, culture references and charts. There are endless descriptions of weapons--as befits the warrior lifestyle. There are line registries, make-up descriptions, and construction details on all sorts of Klingon costuming--everything to ensure that KAG's warriors are the best Klingons that fandom has ever seen. The parts of KAG that I deal with involve costuming, head-piece making, culture and props, if that gives you an idea of the size of the information I've been sorting out.

Now, if your interests lean towards costuming and joining the Quartermaster Division, I can also help. The QM Division, being the part of KAG that makes us look Klingon, can always use new members. We are actively seeking costumers, mask makers, weapons and prop makers and artisans of all sorts. We are actively recruiting sources not only of costumes and the like, but also of the raw materials used to make those costumes. So if the Quarter- master life appeals to you, or if you just want to be one of the best dressed Klingons in KAG, just drop me an email.

One final thing, which involves of all things, cross-stitching. I have gotten my hands on a cross-stitching program which can take any drawing or photograph and change it into a cross-stitching reference sheet. So if you want to take, for example, your House or Ship symbol, or your name in piqadmey, and cross stitch it onto a flag, or your battle cloak, or wherever, I can get that for you if you send me a picture of what you want. There's no charge for my doing this, provided there's no postage involved.
