ALOHA!

by Kubera

Hail To All,

The IKV SEEKER infuses it's Aloha to those of you in the Fleet. We are an old ship commissioned in 1991. A bunch of us co-workers got together and formed the only KAG ship in Hawaii. Our numbers have always been small., with only 5 uniformed members at any one time. We had a lot of people who just wanted to hang out with us and that was fine. (We were a tolerant bunch as well.) We didn't care that the wanna be Klingons were on board. It was always all in fun.

In those early years we did conventions, a lot of charity work and volunteerism. We won parade float contests, got in the local paper and gave speeches at the Summer Space Camp program here in Hawaii.

Unfortunately time passes, responsibilities of real life take priority. Some of us even retired from work. Our second officer was a 63 year old grandmother. Our "cook" was 67.

The SEEKER is in what we consider dry dock. Not enough of us to stay up and running on a regular basis. We still do the charity and educational stuff but only several times a year. But make no mistake. There is still a Klingon/KAG presence in Hawaii. A small Federation club on Oahu would warn it's members of Klingons on the Big Island. That was us. At least we have victories to savor. The SEEKER crew will maintain it's post here Hawaii until the last of us is called to Stova Kor.

Should any of you need information about this tropical quadrant, feel free to ask. (I like playing tour guide too)
