Montreal Comicon 2019

When we got confirmation a week and a half before the event we had a booth, the crew was ready for it.

John Mor’r (Jonathan Morissette) had his Bat’leth demonstration and V’Kar (Daniel Kenny) had prepared his demonstration how to make ridges.
Our photographer could not make it. So we decided to have people take their own pictures. Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation got in touch with us via Kiltarc Leb (Kris Leblanc). They would sent someone to take care of the Charity at our booth.

Everything was set for the big event… or so we thought. On Sunday evening I intercepted a communication between Kiltarc Leb (Kris Leblanc) and Abby Hagyard. He told her to get in touch with me. I replied and within a couple of minutes I found out she was the Mother on the TV show : You can’t do that on Television, she would be at Montreal Comicon. I invited her to our Good Day to Dine. She said some guests, fans from her show, coming from New York to see her. So I invited them too.
They were getting married on 1st July19… and they were Star Trek fans…
The obvious thing was thus to do a Klingon Wedding ceremony! From that moment a rollercoster of events happened.
501, the fake empire, got involved to have the couple brought to our booth. Abby Hagyard accepted to become Lady of the House Remjar.
Instead of having a mere 10 people for our Good Day to Dine, we ended up with 20. Unfortunately, we could not get any space. The 501 were easily persuaded to give us some of their space at 3 Brasseurs.

Thursday morning 4th July, V’Kar (Danniel Kenny) and N’Mira K’tal (Marize Wolf) helped out with the setup. We were ready.

Friday morning, XO N’Mira K’tal (Marize Wolf) took her command as usual, making sure things would run smoothly. Which it did. The 501 was accros of us, Daleks next to our booth and a little further we heard the Vikings shouting Skoll at regular intervals.

Saturday morning, arriving at the parking, Abby Hagyard was waiting in her earth vehicle. We helped her bringing everything upstairs. She remained at our booth for the rest of the day. Awaiting the big event.
The Sith Lords from the 501 escorted the Stephen (whom I accepted in my House) and Tara to our booth. When they arrived, I took over, not before insulting the fake empire in true Klingon style!

At the booth, General Botaq (Alan Bowbrick) promoted me to Lt. Colonel with the honorific sutai. That’s when I saw the chance to take over command of the Fleet. General Botaq ended defeated at my feet.

The evening came and we prepared our way to 3 Brasseurs, about 20min on foot. On our way we met newly weds accompanied by their photographer. After congratulating them, the photographer took pictures of them with D’Gor between them.
Arriving at 3 Brasseurs, the party could start. They did not have any Gagh available.
The Sunday was a quiet day apart from some good insulting the Vikings and Star War Empire.
