Marine Captain mar Sal tai Hurric, Commanding Officer of the Ha’DIbah lulIgh ghom, the Baraboo, Wisconsin based chapter of Klingon Assault Group rolled through the gates of Sauk County Fairgrounds, location of the Sauk County Humane Society’s annual spring fund-raiser event, PAWS Pledge Walk and Fun Fest, at approximately 0615 hours, with three assorted dozen of donuts from a nearby Duncan Donuts intended for rescue respite (and donated by the Ha’DIbaH) of the crew of volunteers manning and working the days event. The majority of the crew of volunteers were scheduled to begin signing in for the day at approximately 0630 hours. Sogh (Marine Captain) mar Sal set up and manned the volunteer sign in registry locations, and ensured that the soon to be beleaguered, mostly HU-man, volunteers were rationed at least one donut each. Approaching volunteers were en-heartened to realize that they would be working with a Klingon for the day. Several requested permission to capture holo-images either of Captain mar Sal alone, or to be holo-imaged along side of mar Sal. Promises were made to provide copies of those images in exchange for the permission to record them. Once all was set up for the day, we became very aware that our (the SCHS) event would be sharing the fairgrounds with an encampment of HU-man larvae, commonly referred to as Cub Scouts.
Beginning before PAWS Walk actually opened for business, and continuing through-out the day, Scouts were approaching to ask permission to record holo-images, or just to interact and enjoy the camaraderie of a few moments with a brother in uniform.
Once the event kicked off, and the “walkers” started showing up and registering, along with the arrival of those who just came to roam the grounds, check out the vendors area, and basically enjoy the day, there were even more requests for opportunities to record holo-images. Each time we agreed to such a request, we also asked to be supplied with copies of such images. Each image capturer agreed to provide such copies.
Upon completion of the “walk” event, many of those who came for the walk departed the grounds. Others remained to enjoy the live music (provided by a group called “Old Grey Cats), grab a gnosh, visit the vendors area, observe the Baraboo Police Department Canine deomostrations, and/or escort the offspring to the children’s games area. The day officially came to an end about 1300 hours. The volunteer kitchen crew packed up all the equipment and supplies that remained, and a good portion of same were loaded into our Assault Shuttle – SlrlIy, for return to the storage facilities retained and maintained by Sauk County Humane Society. All equipment and supplies were successfully returned to their storage place, and the day designated as “Mission Accomplished” by approximately 1300 hours. Sogh mar Sal then returned to base headquarters and resumed normal duities.
Accompanying this report are some of the holo-images captured and recorded by Sergeant Major Skele, XO of the Ha’DIbah, along with one very good image recorded by a HU-man parent of two Scouts, as they stood next to Sogh mar Sal. These HU-man younglings appeared to be very good potential recruits for Klingon Assault Group, and showed great honor in their behavior. The Empire would benefit greatly from their inclusion in our forces.
