AER Comicpalooza 2017

the Void Dragon Squadron at Comicpalooza

Comicpalooza Houston was a HUGE success. In attendance from the IKV Qa’Vak was me Tel’peH house of ja’Duch. I reached the transport site Thursday night and met up with the IKV logh veng who were running an exhibitor table. I added some weapons (courtesy of Marc Malnekoff) as well as the Imperial Flag that I have. Throughout the weekend we talked up people and had many interested in the group. We talked up the KWP and ended up with, I believe, 29 letters signed over the weekend. With others saying they will support by mailing in their own or sending off emails, including one gentleman who was Canadian and has family in Canada. He thinks he can get a few of them to fire off some emails as well. Our two ship’s (now know collectively as the Void Dragon Squadron) officially challenged the SFI group to get more signatures than us and they accepted the challenge. At the end of the Con, I and Matthew Whiteacre went to collect the signatures from the SFI guys. We were victorious as the SFI guys somehow managed not to get a single signature. not even their own crew. This really shows the difference between the heart of a tera’ngan and a tlhIngan. I believe Mark Andrew Faulkner will be filling in the details, if he hasn’t already.

Many raids conducted and SFI and Fleet 31 asked us back to raid 2 times. There were raids against the GI Joe guys and the against the 501st of
the weaker empire. Brian of the Logh Veng was force choked by Vader as we attempted to make the wizards of space release him. We were successful because let’s face it Storm troopers can’t hit anything they shoot at and sticks penetrate their armor. The rebels of the same group were less enthusiastic about our raid (granted we interrupted a “sales pitch”, but we interrupted everyone tlhIngan maH!) The Trek side of the 501st, the 1701st, did not look at all like they would play along so we didn’t bother even though their booth was directly across from ours.

Two members of the USS Endurance asked us to crash their wedding and play Klingon inspired music for them. I have offered to do part of their ceremony in Klingon for them, and the completely geeked out, and this is now a thing that will happen. There will be a video of the ceremony which I will try and get a copy of so I can upload it or hopefully the Endurance members will post it to YouTube.

The members of SFI are wanting to run some joint feddie/tlhIngan operations. We all agree this will be beneficial to all organizations involved. The VDS believes this is the beginnings of a great partnership between the tera’nganpu and the tlhInganpu. SFI want to do more joint actions with us during the year down in Houston with us. You gotta keep up good relations with the other fan groups. We went marching through the con singing the battle chant yIjaj Qey’ ‘oH announcing, Klingons coming through. There were two very well put together panels by Harley and Matthew on the Klingon language. One of which I did a live FB video of for everyone to see.

It was good to be among fellow tlhInganpu. I even heard Brian and his parmaqqay flirting. She threatened to stab him a couple of times very romantic. ?

Very successful convention for the VDS. Much Honor was brought to the empire.

YOU WILL TAKE NOTICE OF US. tlhIngan maH!

Comicpalooza Houston was a huge success. We have ten possible new recruits if they follow through with the information that was given to them. Even if half or a third apply then that’s still 3-5 new members for our ship. Many of us that were eligible did a DNA swab to see if we could help out cancer patients. Many raids conducted and SFI and Fleet 31 asked us back to raid 2 times. Also the Uss Endurance asked us to crash their wedding and play Klingon inspired music for them. SFI want to do more joint actions with us during the year down in Houston with us. You gotta keep up good relations with the other fan groups. In attendance was my self. My wife Tia Jordan Dean (qIrna’),Harley Graves, Matthew Whiteacre, Mark Andrew Faulkner, Andrew Goodwin, our dahar master. Derek Loreth our xo, Zoa Richter (zo’ric) the intrepid Josh Browning captain of the Qa’vak. If I forgot anybody please speak up. We went marching through the con singing the battle chant and Yajaj Qay oh. And announcing. Klingons coming through. And two very well put together panels by Harley and Matthew on the Klingon language. Also, soon Matthew will be mailing in at least 32 petitions for the Klingon Way.

A caster quest interview was performed by the interviewer named Amanda Campbell who wanted a 10 minute interview with us. Mark Andrew Faulkner, Harley Graves, Matthew Whiteacre, myself and Captain Joshua browning Of the Qa’vak (my squadron mate) were in attendance to this interview where we answered questions of why Klingon. Where we were based. About KAG and we spoke about the Klingon Way petition among many of the things mentioned.
Denzil Miracle gifted us the honor of an old Kag banner that has been passed down for the past ten years I believe. We are proud to have it.
Many raids were held in which pictures are now on the face book Kag private page. We did a challenge with the SFI ships, Zavalla and Endurance, for number of signatures. 32 to 0. But Michael will further expound on that glory. He made the challenge with my express approval. I only wish that other ships in the quadrant could share in our glory
It was a Very successful convention for us.
