Stardate 58758.7 (Oct. 11/18)

At approximately 04:30, myself and Lt. Vixsor loaded up our bird of prey as we both had to report into our human jobs by 05:00 with the plans of setting course to meet up with 2Lt. Sh’ron at her base once we was done work. Once Vixsor was done work at 14:30, we set course for Drumheller, home of 2Lt. Sh’ron, CO of the IKV RAVENSCLAW (ship still in the works)

We made a small stop along the way to consume some food and drink as by this time I’d been awake for almost 13 hours and was starting to fade. Couple hours later we reached our destination to bunk down at Sh’ron’s place for the evening before departing the next morning for the location of the 2nd annual Foothills Comic Con.

Stardate 58761.4 (Oct. 12/18)

We all awoke early as to load Sh’rons things into the ship, and to meet up with Vixsors, and Sh’rons parents in town for breakfast. After our morning meal we decided to invade the Trekcetra Museum located in Drumheller to see if there was any new displays. We wondered around the museum for about an hour, chatted with the owners for a bit, and then left. Before we left town, we refuelled our ships fuel tanks, set our navi computer for our destination, and set forth.

The trip was uneventful, with not much to see, got to love southern Alberta wide open prairie. We arrived at our lodging for the weekend at 1430 with check in at 1500. As we sat in the hotel, the desk lady called us over allowing us to check in early and move our things to the room. The room was worthy of 3 warriors of the empire, roomy and open, and less then 10 minutes to the convention location.

Once we was unpacked, we thought about where to go for our evening meal, deciding on a place a few minutes away. Once fed, we opted to check out some of the local shopping centres, then back to our room for the night, watching some earther non-holographic video on the view screen.

Stardate 58764.1 (Oct. 13/18)

We awoke at approx 0630, bit early as the con doors didn’t open till 1000. We made our way down the hall for our free continental breakfast and proceeded to feast on typical earther breakfast foods, sausage, hash-browns, eggs, toast, waffles, juice, and weak Terran coffee. We returned back to our room to prepare for the day, I was to wear my imperial armour and ridges, Sh’ron was wearing her original series uniform, and Vixsor decided to have herself altered to look human, and don a set of Jedi robs so as to infiltrate the Star Wars franchise and see what they are all about. We left our room and headed to the con location at 0940 as last year the parking lot filled up fast.

Once at the convention, we got our tickets in, and proceeded to look things over. It had the same set up as the year before, vendors on the right side of the arena, and guests/media on the left side. We checked out the vendors to see what was available, including stopping by the booth for the USS KING EDWARD as it was rumoured that they had a new Klingon pin, they did and I procured 2 of them. After the vendors room we ventured over to the guest/media to see who was all there for cosplay guests as we knew a few of them from the local fan expo a month earlier. Pictures was taken, panels attended, conversations ensued with other con goers, a good time was had. Vixsor found herself later being attacked by the evil sith Darth Nihilus, who was taken down by Vixsor with her prowess with a lightsaber, and a new friend was made.

We made a few more trips around the vendors area, making sure to pester the 501st legion with each trip, and then over to the guest side for pics and autographs with Fred Keating and Tantoo Cardinal, Fred asked to have his pic taken with us and not the other way around. We departed the convention at about 1730 and headed back to our room to unarmour, and decide where supper was going to be.

Vixsor and I decided to take Sh’ron to the English pub that was in the hotel we stayed at for the 1st foothills comic con last year for the evening meal. Food was great as it was the previous year, then it was back to our hotel to relax and start packing up for the next days departure. We ended the evening with more Terran non-holographic viewings till about 2300, then it was lights out as check out was at 1100.

Stardate 58766.8 ( Oct. 14/18 )

We awoke at about 0630 and ventured down the hall for our free breakfast as we did the day before. Breakfast consisted of the same food as the previous day. After having our fill it was back to the room to finish packing and preparing for the journey back to Sh’rons place as Vixsor and I was planning on staying a couple extra days to visit. We checked out early, about 0930, loaded our stuff into our bird of prey, and left town just before 1000.

The travel back to Sh’rons was as usual, uneventful, arriving at about 1200. We off loaded our luggage, got some lunch, and spent the rest of the day resting and planning out Sh’rons TNG uniform with computer searches for the necessary stuff like ridges, badges, pins, belt buckle, all the fun things. Sh’ron ordered a few things, so we cant hopefully have her new uniform ready for the start of next years con season.

Vixsor and myself arrived back home on stardate 58772.2 (Oct. 16/18) about 1300 with a few days left of our weeks holidays from work.
