The IKV Executioner and the KPV Krimson Fury crews invaded the very first Conover Comicon sponsored by Time Tunnel Comics on September 17, 2022. It was a small venue at the Comfort Inn on Fairgrove Church Road in Conover, but the Klingons used it appropriately for battle and fellowship.
IXL Brigadier Keela zanta-Septaric, CO IKV Executioner, recalled that back in September of 2021, the Klingon Assault Group and the Star Trek Independent Fleet held a Watch Party for the new Star Trek offering, Enterprise, at that very hotel. Also attending from the Executioner were Lt. Cmdr. Martok vestai-lungQIj, XO, and crewman IXL Lt. Way’nar tai-Barr’ak who arrived a little late due to Federation interference.
The KPV Krimson Fury crew who participated in the Conover Comicon battle were acting CO, Lt. Dronoss vestai-Hov che’, acting XO, Lt. Krikala vestai-Hov che’ and a cloaked IXL Cadet Lt. Gartok tai-Hov che’.
The KAG table was set off in an adjoining hall but enjoyed a fair amount of traffic. Unfortunately, as is the case with a new convention, not a lot of funds were raised. Kwanzaa Family Inn women’s shelter received $127 from the Klingon Assault Group on Monday. Qapla’!
A great time was had by all and the following celebratory Good Day to Dine at the NY Hibachi Buffet in Hickory, NC was a delicious end to the battle. A battle notch was earned by all who attended each venue in uniform. Qapla’!
