tlharnoQ’s log Stardate 20160522:

In preparation for the KAG conquest of Vulcan, scheduled for the Terran month of July. Lt. tlharnoQ was deployed too scout the area, set up a preliminary base of operations for invading warriors to gather, and acquire intelligence necessary for the success of the upcoming mission. KAG Ambassador, Admiral Qel’Iv acted as her supervisor but felt it best to operate covertly disguising himself as a Terran chauffeur and photographer to the Acting Ambassador tlharnoQ.

First stop: A mural depicting several famous Starfleet doctors. It seems this town is a Federation stronghold. While they welcome the warrior with open arms, they the revere altruism and scientific advances represented by Starfleet medical. I expect that our warriors, bringing tales of the glory of the Empire will be able to turn their allegiance.

On our way through town we ran into another reconnaissance team. We tried to avoid them, but they appeared at every point of interest through our whole tour of the town. Eventually, at the bust of Spock, they spotted us. This team working with a couple of humans disguised as Vulcans were recording footage and doing research for a French television show called Bizarroscope. The crew got quite excited at the prospect of including a visiting Klingon dignitary in their production. The episode of the TV show will be aired sometime in the fall on a Terran television channel that appears to begin with V and end with s. If any Klingons happen to catch the broadcast, please contact tlharnoQ with details.

Pax, tlharnoQ’s monsterous attache from the Monster Factory, found Spock’s bust and history quite interesting. Its not often that he runs into news of another green blooded species here in the 21st century on Earth.

Lt. tlharnoQ visited the Trekcetera museum taking note of the details of Federation, Borg, and other uniforms  and technology on display. The museum is quite interesting and is a must for Klingons who wish to understand their opponents capabilities.  Unfortunately the photos of this part of the trip exist only on a device owned by the Terran museum owner and attempts to reach him have, as of yet, been unsuccessful.

After scouting out the town, Lt tlharnoQ accepted an invitation from a local pub owner who is sympathetic to the Klingon cause. The Vulcan Coulee has been established as a Klingon meeting point within the town of Vulcan. Not only do they stock the official beer of KAG – Klingon Warnog, but they also, serve wonderful (albeit Terran) food, and enjoy a good round of Klingon Opera.

Many of the patrons of the bar and grill watched with amusement but as our antics continued, many tried on the spare ridges that the IKV Crimson Dawn crew keep on hand for just such an occasion and posed for photos and selfies. tlharnoQ gave one on one lessons on how to appear menacing, and making scary warfaces.

At this point a second film crew appeared on the scene in search of the “Klingon Ambassador” This crew was from the CBC and was in Vulcan to film an episode of the TV show “Still Standing” a show where the comedian host learns all about the unique aspects of a small Canadian town before doing a stand up comedy show specially prepared for the residents of that town. As Vulcan is the Star Trek capital of Canada, they were quite interested in capturing some footage of the visiting Klingon.

The CBC crew asked tlharnoQ to meet them at Trek Station.

Lt. tlharnoQ, very used to being in command as CO of the IKV Crimson Dawn, wasted no time in finding and taking over the station’s command chair. Vulcan11

Locals and tourists took the time, to stop and chat with her after the filming was complete. Several seemed interested in learning more about KAG and costuming.

Outside Trek Station, a federation ship hovered in the air, patrolling the area. tlharnoQ made sure it was aware of her presence and that she did not fear them.

This concluded the tour of Vulcan. It was time to head back to Calgary for some very Klingon style earth entertainment: Roller Derby!

These 8 wheeled combatants embody the spirit of the warrior as they fight for the victory, in a full contact, high speed competition. The action was fierce and the mood of the crowd exhilarating. Several present, as can be expected in a group of spectators with an appreciation of such warlike competition, were also fans of Klingons. tlharnoQ spent her time enjoying the bout, as well as fielding questions about KAG and costuming, and posing for photos with curious humans.

It seems that Alberta is a very welcoming place for Klingons, and is ready for the conquest of Vulcan during Vul-con by Klingons from across the Empire!
