On 8\13 &8\14 the 1st T.S.F. deployed to Salem convention center for NorthWest Con. The local SFI ship , U.S.S. Destiny, had gotten a vendors table and gave passes to my unit in exchange for manning THEIR post for them. They were there but they were looking for something called a Poke E Man so the first day my XO Marine Lt. bIj’wI manned the table and sold tickets for a raffle. The money went to Gale’s Creek Camp to help kids with type 1 diabetes and most of the money was taken in because of Lt. bIj’wI and her tireless efforts. The second day we forced the feddies to stay while we wandered. I had taken pictures but my COMM device (tablet) was damaged at the con, while the feddies sat close to it. Well they took care of the cost to replace, willingly, so I’m happy just no pictures.
We handed out KAG info to everyone we met, so they should be joining shortly.
