With the string of recent victories and our major recruiting drive at the Northern Ontario Expo, the ranks of the Crimson Dawn have swelled! Our small raiding party has become a veritable occupation force. But with so many new members, we thought it important to come together away from the public to get to know one another a bit better. After a bit of brain storming, Hos joH suggested the Quill Lounge at Northern College. Our outing the night prior for the Scotch Tasting served as an excellent reconnaissance mission. So we set the date and time for Sunday evening and coordinated shuttle service amongst those able to make it out.
This was a fairly casual evening of trading prop making techniques…
…showing off new acquisitions and sharing sources like the newly available foam bat’leth…
…and enjoying food and drink. We invoked the ancient KAG Pizza Rules of Order and ceased business once food had arrived from Canello’s. Though as is often the case, often more brainstorming gets done the less formal the setting.
For entertainment, since the pub had been openned especially for KAG’s use, the staff were good enough to seek out the works of the Klingon Pop Warrior on youtube and played them over the sound system.

With full bellies, we welcomed our new shipmates the best way we know how: buy challenging them to bat’leth duels!
Among the things we talked about over the course of the evening was what to do next. Sa’Moht pitched a special project for Tim Horton’s Camp Day – to get Canadian Klingons to go to stores across the country and buy coffee Wednesday, June 1st, when all the proceeds go toward their children’s camp. All a warrior has to do is take a photo on costume with a Tim Hortons cup, the speech bubble to their mouth and release it over social media with Tim Hortons and KAG tagged. Messages with dispatched to the rest of the Crimson Kinght Fleet, along with the Rising Sun and Northern Storm Fleets. It did not take long for our brothers and sisters to answer his call!
One bit of silliness came from O’C’Tav, who had been reading the recent Big Boy edition of Mindscanner that had been re-released….
