AER: Hickory Con’s Good Day to Dine

IXL Colonel Keela zantai-Septaric reporting.

A successful battle should always be celebrated with feasting and drinking, and the battle to raise funds and toys for the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program was no exception. Following a glorious victory at the Hickory Con on September 28, 2013, the IKV Raging Wolf descended upon the Golden Corral restaurant in Hickory, NC for a well deserved and most delicious Feast.

The IKV Executioner crew disembarked there first, including Lt. Kas’Duj vestai-Mjolnir, and a cloaked Lt. Sov’Tah tai-Mjolnir and IXL Lt. T’Loria tai of Vulcan. The three members of the STIF vessel had already arrived as well, landing before the IKV Raging Wolf shuttle (bearing me and my crew person, IXL Lt. S’Risha tai of Vulcan) dropped out of orbit. The the ship mascot was left at home to recuperate from her duties that day.

The Executioner crew had secured a private setting for us (to protect the huMans from the rejoicing Klingons) and we ate and drank and laughed and talked until we were full and had shared many tales of glory. Among the topics of discussion were the upcoming Holiday seasons of Halloween and Christmas, and having a Death Touch Squadron event for both. Sov’Tah graciously offered her home coordinates for both. Announcements are forthcoming regarding these planned squadron events.

After leaving the restaurant, the IKV Raging Wolf shuttle followed the IKV Executioner shuttle to a pre-planned site to offload special cargo: gifts for members of House Mjolnir. It was at this time, that I stated that I had been counted as a friend of House Mjolnir since its founding, and now I formally requested Honorary membership. My petition was granted and I am greatly honored.

Afterwards S’Risha and I returned to her home coordinates to reunite her with her beloved Wallaby, aka the Raging Marshmallow, and then I shuttled home for a well-deserved rest.

It was a GOOD Day to Dine!
