Lt’s Personal Log

Friday June 20:

After laboring many hours in aid of the hUmans, I changed clothes and boarded my personal shuttle to a transport station where I proceeded to the convention center. Once there I checked in with the attendants and confirmed my reservations, then proceeded to the convention floor where I introduced myself to Lt. Cmdr Kas’Duj vestai-Mjolnir of house Mjolnir. After prepping to armor up, I was greeted by IXL Colonel Keela zantai-Septaric. After armoring up and acquiring a dagger from Kas’Duj and having a sign placed on my back, I proceeded to stalk the convention in search of donations, food shopping, and costumed hUmans. After returning to the recruiting table, I was pleased to see the lovely Kate Foil was there helping with battle in her Batgirl costume. After stalking the floor once more and taking photos with the masses, I returned to the table where I remained until I de-armored and returned home

Saturday June 21:

After nearly arriving late (after taking the time to do my hair), I arrived at the convention and once again armored for battle. After doing some recruiting for donations at the table, I proceeded to stalk the convention floor this time armed with a ship rifle. After searching for comics, I encountered IXL Lt. Chamber tai, a Mandelorian mercenary and new KAG member who I’d encountered and recruited into the IXL during a recreational mission in October. After some talking, he soon found himself fitted with a sign on his back helping us raise funds. After returning to the table and switching weapons for a Bat’leth, I was happy to see Kate Foil dressed this time as Rarity from My Little Pony. After returning to the floor, I was surprised to see my cousin Kennedy attending her first convention in her Attack on Titan cosplay. I was very proud of her. After grabbing some lunch, I returned to the table. There I was gifted with a cloisonne mirror universe pen by Keela. I then returned to stalking the floor once again armed with the rifle, before once again returning to the table at which time I met the famous comedian, actor, and radio personality, J. Anthony Brown, who donated to our cause, as well as interviewed us (see the attached holo-image). I then remained at the table until I departed for home.

Sunday June 22:

After arriving, battle worn, I once again donned my armor and gutted through the last day. This day was particularly special for me as I was adopted by my Klingon mother, Keela. Keela and I have been instant friends since 2012 when I first discovered KAG after a difficult point in my life. In lieu of the traditional Rustai (fire not allowed in the convention center) we performed our own ceremony. While not a Septaric, I do plan on and will form my own House. We were very briefly helped again by Kate Foil, this time dressed as Donna Noble. After stalking the floor a few more times, saying good bye to several people, conversing with “the guys” from Asheville, especially Terry Short (Ka-Lorr), and briefly helping the 501st break down their exhibit, I departed and returned home. I was later informed we raised $1,700 that con which brought our total donations for Hospice of Catawba Valley up to $12,987.00 since year 2000. Qapla!!!
