IXL Colonel Keela zantai-Septaric reporting. Approximately 4:00 pm on Saturday, the IKV Raging Wolf shuttle docked in the Hickory, NC system and took on one and 1/2 passengers: IXL Lt. S’Risha tai and ship mascot, the half Borg/half Targ, dubbed the Raging Marshmallow. After jettisoning space debris, the shuttle warped without incident to the Charlotte, NC system and assumed a parking orbit around the Crowne Plaza asteroid for the Geek Gala: Alien Invasion. Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy the mission due to intestinal poisoning from a noxious earth root called horse-radish, and disguised myself as Lela Dax, a much simpler transformation. Some of the recognizable exotic lifeforms included a Green Orion Slave Girl (hopeful new recruit), Leela from Futurama, Marvin Martian, a Man in Black, several Dr. Who’s, a Mandalorian Merc and of course our invading KAG members: Lt. Jatanna tai-Majja and IXL Lt. Armon tai (Mirror Universe half-Klingon/half-human). Cloaked KAG members included Frank and Donna Parker, Hope and Luis Diaz, Nicole Reavis, Andy Fairbanks, Chris DeLisle, and Danny Seavers. All holo-images may be seen here: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjLtn5Dp
The Raging Marshmallow was decked out in her little red Devil outfit, with matching garters and toenails, and a set of purple bat wings. Bloody wrapping and two little skeletons hung off her Borg carriage which also sported two nice KAG banners, one on either side. She had an illuminated leash and lights flashing on her chassis. She was a complete and total hit among the invaders.
There was lots of loud entertainment, good food, good company, games to test your skills upon, prizes to be won, raffle tickets to be bought. I do not remember much of the event due to my ill-health, but do remember that Lt. Armon did a reading for the talent portion. I have requested a copy of his words; what I could gather over the noise of the crowd was inspiring. Next time, Armon, shout them down and then read to them. Also participating in the talent portion were cloaked KAG members Lt. Cmdr. Katkith vestai (IKV Raging Wolf XO) and IXL Lt. Mejhara tai (Nicole Reavis) with Lance Corporal Kelvin Vod (Danny Seavers) among the individuals assisting with her performance.
Lt. Jatanna gifted me with a beautiful red and black scarf she knitted and I, in turn, gave her a hand painted cat rock, one of two I just happened to have brought with me. The other one went to a family of three talented artists (called Menage a’ Trois) because they lost one of their beloved cats that week. Imagine my joy when they told me that my gift looked just like their kitty!
IXL Lt. S’Risha, Raging Marshmallow and I beamed up to the shuttle and warped back to the Hickory system without incident. I arrived at my home coordinates at approximately midnight. I am slowly recovering from the horse-radish poisoning even as I draft this report, but am not yet back to normal.
