AER Dragon Con 2016

Dragon Con is the largest convention I know of in the Atlanta Georgia area. Maybe the largest in the South East U.S. The last I heard there were at lease 75,000 people this year and I heard a high number of 90,000 people were in attendance. All I know for sure is that half of them were following me because I kept seeing the same people or at lease a Version of them everywhere I went.

Star Fleet was numbered in the highest count. But everyone of them looked like they had just come out of a dress shop where they had just purchased their uniform. And most of the were Captains or higher. Is this the only rank Star Fleet has?

While there were not as many Klingon’s, the ones I did see stood taller than the Feddies. You could tell the real Warriors. And the uniforms were all grand and different and you could tell a real fan by the time seen in the making of the uniform. Be it by the warriors own hands or by the money paid to have it made from their pockets.
I my self had two uniforms. Both made by hand by my warriors in this quadrant. I was a TOS original Klingon one day thanks to Mr. Buddy Baker. And I was an Imperial klingon a second day thanks to Ms Donna Jean Bearden and her husband Lonnie Bearden.

I had people stop me in the street to take my picture and have a picture made with me. And one guy went into detail looking at my Phaser Rifle and wanting me to tell him all about the work that went into it.

I could not tell him much because the phaser rifle was created by one of my CO’s and was a gift.

On a personal note, I had the best time of my life in years at this convention. And I want to thank first my sister Teresa and my niece Caroling for the time and money they put into making this happen for me. This is the greatest gift you have ever given me.

I also want to thank Donna Jean Bearden and Lonnie for the great uniform, and for making KAG victorious at the convention. I worked my bottom off to make this happen for KAG and the Phoenix Rising. But without Donnal Jean and Lonnie KAG would not have had a table this year.

And I also want to thank Buddy Baker again and Michael Hansford, and Kate Hayes-Huer for all the work they done to make KAG’s Dragon Con work.

And I want to thank Doug Edwards who showed up at Dragon Con and worked at the KAG table for a few hours on Friday even without his DC pass. I was finely able to get a picture of him in uniform. And he was wearing part of my old uniform from 1994.

So I am now awarding the KAG Dragon Con 2016 Medal Of Glory with Gold Bat’leth’s to both Donna Jean Bearden, Lonnie Bearden, and Doug Eswards for working the KAG table. And I am requesting one for myself, Me, Jerry Carlton rice, from the Fleet Adimral.
I am also awarding the KAG Dragon Con 2016 Medal Of Glory with Red Bat’Leth’s for Carolina and Teresa and Buddy Baker.
And I will award the KAG Dragon Con 2016 Medal of Glory with Black Bat’leth’s to the one warrior voted as the Champion of Dragon Con for KAG from the warriors named above in the next mind scanner.

At the convention the following warriors were promoted:

Donna Jean Bearden was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant vestai- (First Lieutenant Azetbur vestai-T’lak)
Buddy Baker was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant vestai- (First Lieutenant N’ayr vestai-K’cep)
Lonnie Bearden was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant tai- (First Lieutenant Goth tai-Gore)
Lonnie was also named the Warrior of the month for August 2016 for the Phoenix Rising Quadrant.
Teresa was promoted to the rank of Sargent. (Sargent Teresa)

Battle Notches were awarded to Ltcmdr Kordash, Lt. Azetbur, Lt. N’ary, LT Goth, LT K’tina, and Sgt. Teresa.
I also requested a Battle Notch, Kill Stripe and Strategy Mark from the admiral for my self, Commander Knoa’Nor. (Approved for all three – Admiral qurgh)

For the past few years, people have said there was no KAG presents at the Dragon Con. And even if we were shuffled off into a corner, and hidden and no one could find us, we were there this year for anyone that had the warrior spirit and wanted to hunt us down.

We made an announcement at Dragon Con giving out a secret that will be shared by the Thought Admiral in the next Mind Scanner. I will not let the cat out of the bag any more than she has already been let out, but I will tell you that we will have a new ship for the quadrant in a place that we have never had before in all our history.
KAG is growing again and the Phoenix Rising Quadrant is growing also.

Dragon Con 2016 was fantastic for me. I did not get to do to much other than work the KAG table and do my DC duties. But I was able to meet some really great people both in KAG and out of KAG. And I had a ball.
